05 an hour 20 hours ago 20 hours ago 20 hours ago The Town of Nolensville is seeking to hire an Accounting Clerk to provide accounting and clerical support in the Finance department.
This position will process standard transactions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and similar routine accounting functions.
Responsibilities may include entering and retrieving data; processing payments, invoices, credit card payments, and similar transactions; and filing electronic and physical documents.
Essential Job Duties Receives, reviews, prepares, and processes a variety of accounting and/or financial transactions, which may include:
payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits and/or other related transactions.
Enters a variety of financial information into spreadsheets and/or databases, processes payments, invoices, credit card payments, and similar transactions.
Completes, tracks, and/or maintains a variety of records, logs, ledgers, and files; files documents as directed.
Prepares a variety of basic accounting reports and other documents related to assigned area of responsibility utilizing established guidelines.
Files electronic and physical documents and related information.
End of day reporting duties; make bank deposits.
Assists in the preparation and issuing of annual Form 1099s and W2s.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
